INNER LANDSCAPES THERAPY

Counselling & Psychotherapy for Adults and AdolescentsRichmond and Surrey Hills

"Some things cannot be spoken or discovered until we have been stuck, incapacitated, or blown off course for awhile. Plain sailing is pleasant, but you are not going to explore many unknown realms that way."
David Whyte

ABOUT

I work with adults and adolescents in Melbourne, supporting concerns such as anxiety, life transitions, identity, and relationships.My approach is collaborative, relational, and process-oriented, allowing space for each person’s experience to unfold in its own time.Many of the people I work with are seeking not just relief from symptoms, but a deeper understanding of themselves and their experience.My work is informed by Person-Centred Therapy and Analytical Psychology (Jungian-oriented therapy). At the core of my practice is creating a therapeutic environment that is warm, respectful, non-judgemental, and confidential. I understand how important it is to feel understood within the context of your own history and experience.Working with dreams can also be incorporated into therapy, supporting a deeper connection to meaning, inner experience, and self-understanding.I hold a Postgraduate Diploma of Counselling & Psychotherapy from the Cairnmillar Institute and am a registered member of PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia).Before training as a counsellor, I spent almost fifteen years working across documentary, live arts, education, and arts facilitation with both young people and adults. This background in the creative arts continues to inform my therapeutic work, particularly in valuing creativity, expression, and the complexity of individual experience. My work in education has also given me insight into the challenges many young people navigate.I offer sessions both in person and online.PACFA Registered Certified Practising No. 31901

PSYCHOTHERAPY & COUNSELLING

Sometimes life can challenge and confront us in unexpected ways. You might be wanting to develop greater self-confidence, trust, and self-awareness, or need support navigating relationships. At other times, a major life transition or experience of trauma can shift your sense of stability and direction.It’s also common for things to appear “together” on the outside, while internally there may be a sense of stuckness, disconnection, unease, or the quiet persistence of deeper questions around meaning and direction.Therapy can be a space not only for finding relief from these difficulties, but for developing a deeper understanding of yourself and your inner experience over time.
In our work together, we can explore what is emerging for you—whether through thoughts, emotions, patterns, or imagery—at a pace that feels considered and supportive.
Areas of focus are:
* Depression * Anxiety * Burn out / work / study stress * Relationship difficulties * Fatigue
* Grief/ Loss * Trauma * Life Transitions * Existential and spiritual issues * ADHD & Neurodiversity
* Recovery from coercive or cult structure's * LGBTQIA * Personal awareness & growth* Connection to Creativity
Note: I do not offer acute crisis counselling. If in need of immediate support please contact Lifeline: 131114

COUNSELLING FOR ADOLESCENTS

I work with young people (ages 12-18) both in person and online.Sessions are oriented to support each young person in a way that feels safe, supportive, and engaging.Some young people benefit purely from talk therapy, while others benefit from a combination of talk therapy with a simple process -oriented painting or drawing task undertaken during the session. Hands on tasks such as painting and drawing can help mitigate anxiety, nerves, help dialogue and insights flow more freely & also lead to greater self insights.Common themes that I support young people with include:
* Peer Relationships * Depression & Low Moods * Anxiety * School Pressures * Identity * Social Challenges
* Confidence * Family changes or trauma * Neurodiversity / ADHD * Self Esteem * Disordered Eating *Perfectionism
Sessions are confidential, developmentally aware, and designed to meet each young person where they are at.
